1. INTRODUCTION

Wriffen LLC ("we," "us," "our," or "Company") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use the Wriffen web application ("Software").

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Account Information

When you create an account for the Software, we collect:

• First and last name
• Email address
• Username
• Password (stored in encrypted/hashed form)

User Content (Scripts)

We collect and store the scripts, screenplays, and documents you create and save within the application to provide synchronization across your devices. Free accounts may store up to 20 scripts, while paid accounts may store up to 200 scripts.

Technical Information

We may collect technical information to improve Software performance and maintain stability:

• Browser and operating system information
• Software version information
• Error reports and crash logs (technical data only, no user content)
• Log files containing technical diagnostic information

3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use collected information only for the following purposes:

Account and Content Information

• Creating and managing your account
• Storing and synchronizing your scripts across devices

• Communicating important updates about the Software

4. DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY

Storage Location

• Account information and User Content are stored on secure cloud servers located in the European Union.
• Your creative content is stored within your private account space, protected by industry-standard encryption.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:

• Encryption of data in transit and at rest
• Secure password hashing
• Regular security assessments
• Limited access to personal information on a need-to-know basis

Data Retention

• Active accounts: We retain account information and stored scripts as long as your account remains active and within the allocated storage limits.
• Deleted accounts: Account information and all stored scripts are permanently deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
• Technical data: Error reports and technical logs are retained for up to 12 months for diagnostic purposes.

5. YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

Access and Correction

• Right to access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Right to correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.

Deletion and Portability

• Right to deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated personal information through your profile settings.
• Right to data portability: Request a copy of your account information in a portable format.

1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By accessing or using the Wriffen web application ("Software"), you ("User," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Software.

2. ELIGIBILITY

Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Software. By using the Software, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age.

Geographic Restrictions

The Software is not available in certain countries subject to U.S. economic sanctions, including but not limited to Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and the Crimea region.

3. SOFTWARE LICENSE

Grant of License

Subject to these Terms, Wriffen LLC grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Software for your screenwriting purposes.

License Restrictions

You may NOT:

• Modify or reverse engineer the Software or attempt to access its source code
• Distribute, sell, or sublicense the Software to third parties
• Use the Software for illegal purposes or in violation of any applicable laws
• Circumvent security measures or attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Use the Software to distribute malware or other harmful code
• Remove or modify any copyright notices, trademarks, or proprietary markings
• Use the "Wriffen" name or logo in a way that suggests endorsement

4. PAYMENT TERMS

Billing and Subscriptions

Wriffen may offer various subscription tiers or one-time purchases. All fees are:

• Disclosed prior to purchase
• Processed through secure third-party payment processors
• Non-refundable unless required by law or specified in the refund policy

Payment Processing

Payments are processed through Lemon Squeezy or Stripe. Your payment information is handled according to their privacy policy and security standards.

5. COLLABORATION FEATURES

Host Control

The user who creates and hosts a project maintains ultimate administrative control over that specific file. The host has the sole right to invite new collaborators or revoke existing collaborator access at any time, for any reason.

Co-Writer Disputes

Wriffen provides the technical infrastructure for real-time collaboration but does not determine intellectual property ownership. If you choose to co-write a script, Wriffen will not mediate, arbitrate, or resolve any copyright, credit, or ownership disputes between you and your collaborators.

6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

Content Storage and Limits

Your creative content is stored securely on our servers to enable access across your devices. Use of this storage is subject to the following limits:

• Free Accounts: Limited to storing up to 20 scripts.
• Paid Accounts: Limited to storing up to 200 scripts.

We perform standard backups to prevent data loss, but you are responsible for maintaining your own copies of your work.

Feedback and Suggestions

Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide about the Software become the property of Wriffen LLC and may be incorporated into future products without compensation.

7. WARRANTIES AND DISCLAIMERS

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WRIFFEN LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Loss of data, scripts, profits, or business opportunities
• Damages resulting from software malfunctions
• Any damages exceeding the amount you paid for the Software

You have the right to:

12. GOOGLE PLAY STORE DATA SAFETY

By downloading, installing, or using the Wriffen screenwriting mobile application for Android ("App"), you ("User," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. ELIGIBILITY

2.1 Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age.

2.2 Geographic Restrictions

Due to international sanctions and legal compliance requirements, the App may not be available or fully functional in certain countries or regions. Google Play enforces geographic restrictions based on applicable laws.

3. ACCOUNT AND AUTHENTICATION

3.1 Google Sign-In Required

To use the App, you must sign in with a valid Google account. By using Google Sign-In:

• You agree to Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
• You authorize us to access your email address from your Google account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account

3.2 Account Responsibility

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

4. SUBSCRIPTION AND BILLING

The App is free to download and use for writing and editing. Optional features may require payment.

5.1 Local Storage and Responsibility

Your User Content is stored locally on your device. You are solely responsible for saving, backing up, and protecting your work. We are not liable for any loss or corruption of your User Content.

6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

Excluding your User Content, all rights, title, and interest in the App, including its code, design, and trademarks, are the exclusive property of Wriffen LLC.

7. LICENSE TO USE THE APP

7.1 Grant of License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal and commercial screenwriting purposes, subject to these Terms.

7.2 Restrictions

You may not reverse engineer, decompile, sell, or distribute the App, or use it for any illegal purpose.

8. PROHIBITED CONDUCT

You agree not to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
• Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others.
• Interfere with the App's operation or security.

9. PRIVACY

Your privacy is important. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use information. By using the App, you agree to our Privacy Policy.

11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WRIFFEN LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA OR PROFITS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

12. INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Wriffen LLC from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or your use of the App.

13. DISPUTE RESOLUTION

Any disputes arising from these Terms will be resolved through binding arbitration in Los Angeles County, California, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You waive any right to participate in a class-action lawsuit.

14. TERMINATION

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms. You may terminate these Terms by deleting the App and your account.

15. GOOGLE PLAY TERMS

Your use of the App is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service.
